Who are we?
Since 2010 ND Care & Support have provided a range of bespoke domiciliary care services for children, young adults, adults and older people throughout Wales. We are a registered member of the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
About the role:
Personal Care: Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Emotional Support: Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of service users.
Household Assistance: Assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in clients’ health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members.
Encouraging Independence: Supporting service users in maintaining their independence and participating in activities they enjoy.
Transport and Mobility Assistance: Helping with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities.
Documentation: Keeping accurate records of care provided and any relevant observations.
As a Care Assistant with ND Care & Support, your hard work and commitment will be rewarded in a number of ways. You will receive:
We will pay for your Enhanced DBS check, Social Care Wales registration fee and a Blue Light Card*, saving you over £70!
Paid travel and waiting time
Full time hours and set shifts
£13.45 per hour on weekdays and £14.01 per hour on weekends (please note, these rates include your rolled-up holiday pay). We also offer a Refer a Friend bonus of £150 for you and your friend if they join us (paid after your friend has worked for us for 12 weeks)!
Full visits / calls paid, not minute by minute.
5-day in depth Induction and training programme (paid at national minimum wage once you have worked for us for a minimum of 50 hours).
The ideal candidate will:
Be able to commit to set shifts each week (15:30-22:00)
Have previous care experience. This is desirable but not essential, as full ongoing training and support will be provided
Be a caring and compassionate person, with a passion for supporting the most vulnerable people in our community
Have a calm and flexible approach to work
Have a full driving license, access to a vehicle, and business insurance
Be happy to travel in the community to provide care
