ND Care & Support seeks dedicated and compassionate Female Specialist Support Workers to join our team in Hendy. In this role, you will provide high-quality care tailored to each individual's unique needs. While we offer comprehensive training and support, candidates must have at least one year of experience in the care sector. Main Duties:
Daily Support: Assist service users with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.
Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to service users, helping them to feel valued and understood.
Health Monitoring: Monitor the health and well-being of service users, including observing and recording any changes in their condition, and reporting these to healthcare professionals.
Medication Management: Assist with the administration of medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including District Nurses, to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs, incident reports, and care plan updates.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to care. You should have a minimum of one year of experience in the care sector, with a solid understanding of best practices in health and social care. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and resilience are also important, as the role involves assisting with mobility and personal care tasks. Proficiency in using care management software and other relevant technology is desirable.
You will need:
A full UK/International Driving License.
Your own car.
To commit to working 12-hour shifts (Days).
To be available to work every other weekend.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a specialist care setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassion, patience, and an empathetic approach to care.
Role Benefits:
£14.57ph on weekdays and £15.02ph on weekends (please note, these pay rates include your rolled-up holiday pay).
We will cover the cost of your Enhanced DBS check, Social Care Wales registration fee and a Blue Light Card—saving you over £70! (We will reimburse you for the Blue Light Card and SCW registration fee on proof of purchase and once you have worked for us for more than four weeks).
We pay you to attend our 5-day in-depth Induction and training programme (paid at national minimum wage once you have worked for us for a minimum of 50 hours)
