New Directions Care & Support is seeking compassionate Home Care Workers for positions in and around the Gwendraeth Valley Area.

Main Duties: In this fulfilling role, you’ll deliver crucial support to clients in their own homes, by carrying out the following duties:

• Personal care (bathing, showering, dressing, toileting, etc.)
• Medication assistance.
• Meal preparation.
• Engage in manual handling for certain tasks.
• Light domestic duties (cleaning, laundry, washing-up.)
• Accurate record keeping.
  

However, beyond these duties, you'll also be a companion and emotional supporter, making sure clients feel cared for and valued. We need compassionate, patient, and dependable individuals for this rewarding position.

Driver/Car Owner: As you’ll be using your own car to travel from client to client, and sometimes accompanying them into the community for out-and-about activities, you will need a full UK Driving License or an International Driving License valid for at least 6 months.  You will also need to be a car owner who is prepared to purchase business insurance.

• We offer a competitive salary of £13.45 per hour on weekdays and £14.01 on weekends, paid weekly (this includes rolled-up holiday pay).
• We’ll cover the cost of your Enhanced DBS check, and Social Care Wales registration fee, and even provide a Blue Light Card—saving you over £70! (We will reimburse you for the Blue Light Card and SCW registration fee on proof of purchase and once you have worked for us for more than four weeks).
